Damian started his career in manufacturing and was involved as a business analyst
in projects from the outset. While completing his MSc, Damian joined Polaroid, an
iconic company in the world of imaging and is one of the most recognisable brands
in the world.
At Polaroid, Damian was involved in the deployment of a SAP ERP system initially
throughout the European region and then to the USA and Caribbean. SAP was selected
to replace the legacy order fulfilment, warehousing and accounting systems. He progressed
to project managing a European implementation of a CRM system in an international
business call centre. Finally, he successfully project managed a data warehouse
pilot by introducing new COGNOS business intelligence technology to a Pan-European
focus group within an agreed $120,000 budget.
Extensive experience of large scale ERP projects on a global platform resulted in
Damian progressing to Agilent Technologies. Agilent Technologies was founded in
1999 the result of a divestiture from Hewlett Packard, HP. The company provides
bio-analytical and electronic measurement solutions to the communications, electronics,
life sciences, and chemical analysis industries.
Damian initially project managed a European business entity outsourcing of accounts
receivable process from a Hewlett Packard Service Level Agreement to Cap Gemini Ernst
& Young. After which, he quickly embarked on a global $80m project to migrate all
back office systems to a new Oracle Financials 11i ERP system. The project was located
out of Palo Alto, California where he was global team lead for the Accounts Receivable
workstream. This involved responsibility for full life-cycle delivery as well as
managing third party supplier relationships, including global banking partner, Citibank
and EDI business partners Global Exchange Services.
